Inside The Circle: 'Circle Theory' Book Coming Next Year

Announcing Circle Theory: My New Book Coming Out Next Year

I am sitting here writing a book, and to be honest, a part of me is thinking: who the hell do I think I am?

There is always that initial doubt when you sit down to write something meaningful. But my heart is entirely in this. Years ago, I wrote a book called Thoughts. It was a bit rubbish—more like a form of exposure therapy than anything else.

This time is completely different. With my upcoming book, Circle Theory, publishing next year, my goal is to actually teach you something rather than just talk at you. I want it to be a book worth keeping on your bookshelf, covered in highlighter ink, post-it notes, and dog-eared pages.

Circle Theory is the entire framework behind my workflow, my success, and how I build brands for myself and my clients here in Basingstoke.

Where the Theory Began

The inspiration for this book didn't come in a boardroom. It hit me while I was lying in bed watching a podcast on YouTube, propping up an extra monitor because I managed to break my main screen with a toastie (I'll save that story for a later chapter).

I had reached a massive turning point in my life. Between ending a relationship and the heartbreaking loss of my Gogo (nan) at the start of the year, I found myself living alone for the first time. It hit me like a 16-wheeler.

Through the chaos, the anxiety, and deep personal research, I finally unpicked how my brain actually works. I realised I wasn't bipolar—a misdiagnosis from a rushed psychiatric meeting—but severely autistic. Once I stopped viewing my neurodivergence as a setback and started treating my stimms, counting, and pattern recognition as superpowers, everything changed.

My brain's ability to spot patterns—what I call Cross Domain Pattern Recognition (or what the internet recently dubbed 'genital theory' after a viral video of mine reached hundreds of thousands of views)—became the bedrock of how I understand people, branding, and content.

What is Circle Theory?

At its core, Circle Theory is a visual framework designed to help solo business owners, creators, and founders map out their personal brand.

I love visuals, I love planning, and I love circles. The 8-ball is my logo, my name is K8, and my brand is built around it. Circles are infinite, soft, and visually grounding.

The framework is split into three distinct rings:

  1. The Inner Ring (You): This is your core. It encompasses your innate characteristics, your sense of humour, your quirks, and your personality. You cannot fake this ring. If you are not ready to step into the centre of your own circle and attach your authentic personality to your brand, people will not connect with you.

  2. The Middle Ring (Your Views & Opinions): This covers your boundaries, how you express your opinions online, your posting schedule, and your preferred medium—whether that is short-form video, long-form podcasting, or local print marketing.

  3. The Outer Ring (Your Manifestation): This is what you actually show the world. It includes your visual branding, business cards, website tech, social media profiles, and public appearances.

Putting Theory Into Practice: The Riverdene Case Study

Theory only gets you so far. You have to actually go out and create.

In the book, I break down real-world case studies, like my work with Darren Head at The Riverdene Pub right here in Basingstoke. When I started working with Darren, we transformed his online presence by centering the pub’s brand entirely around his chaotic, energetic, and utterly lovable personality.

By leaning into his "inner circle"—his natural humour and charisma—we took the pub's views from 1,000 a month to over 500,000 in just 30 days. We landed viral moments like the famous 20-minute World Cup basement TV unboxing video, which surpassed 400,000 views.

The core lessons from that success—like always being on standby to capture spontaneous moments, and bringing your audience into your world so they feel like part of a community—are mapped out step-by-step in the book.

What's Next

Circle Theory dives deep into finding your unique angle in a saturated digital landscape, managing the realities of online attention, setting boundaries to prevent burnout, and building a brand that actually converts.

If you want to learn how to stop fighting with generic marketing templates and start building a brand rooted in who you actually are, keep your eyes open for the release next year.

In the meantime, if you are a local business owner looking for hands-on support with your branding, social media, or website tech, text or call me on 07862262655 to check my current retainer availability here in Basingstoke.
